New York City Attractions
New York City has enough to see and do to fill a year's worth of sightseeing. Its most famous landmarks are known around the world, and you should start your tour of the city by visiting each of them. A visit to New York would not be complete without a visit to Lady Liberty. After seeing the
Statue of Liberty take the ferry over to
Ellis Island and learn how 12 million immigrants viewed the statue upon their arrival to their new homeland. Ferries are available from
Battery Park. Be sure to take some time to visit the park either before or after your voyage to the islands. Of course, New York's
Central Park is far better known.
You will need nearly a day to explore all of it, along with the
zoos that are there. If you find parks to be a little too "low-tech" for your taste, try the
Sony Wonder Technology Lab. Other well known sites that await you include Wall Street and the New York Stock Exchange,
Grand Central Terminal and the famed
St. Patricks Cathedral. Yankee Stadium is a cathedral of a different sort for
New York City Sports fans. Recently, the former site of the World Trade Center - now referred to as
Ground Zero has become one of the most important destinations for New York tourists.
