New York Nightlife
Day and night can sometimes be hard to distinguish in New York City. The pace never stops even though the sun goes down, and in the skyscraper canyon of Manhattan's Financial District, you may not even be able to see the sun during the daytime! New York nightlife offers a dizzying array of choices. The view from the Empire State Building is magnificent at night. Times Square - the "Great White Way" - with all its high-wattage adornments is best seen at night. Of course, there are shows on Broadway and concerts at the Lincoln Center or Carnegie Hall.
Do you want to dance? New York has hundreds of places to strut your stuff or just to sit back and watch the crowds. Webster's Hall is one of the biggest dance clubs in the city. Caroline's comedy club is legendary. Prefer live music? Then soak in the Jazz at the Village Vanguard or the Zinc Bar. Chances are good you won't even have to leave your New York hotel to enjoy some great nightlife but if you do, you are sure to find something to keep up till dawn not too far away.
